Many thanks to our visiting brethren
FAO: All Lodge Visitors
Date of Posting: 26th August 2010

The Worshipful Master & brethren of Tyne-Castle Lodge would like to express their thanks to all the visitors who attended our regular meeting on Tuesday 24th August 2010.

The sheer number of visitors ensured that our double second-degree ceremony was extra special and the festive board that followed was extremely enjoyable for all who attended.

It was wonderful to see so many of our brothers from around the Northumberland province and the large number of attendees from Durham and beyond.

We sincerely hope you will continue to visit and support our Lodge and we look forward to seeing you all again soon at Tyne-Castle.

LODGE ANNOUNCEMENT - Thursday 16th July 2009

West Road CremetoriumThe Worshipful Master wishes to thank all the brethren from Tyne-castle and Per Diem Lodges and the countless brethren from other craft lodges and other masonic degrees who attended the funeral service of our dear departed Brother Alan Saunders today.

It was noted that as many brethren stood outside the chapel as were able to get inside.

A truly dignified send-off to the The Grand Lodge Above as it was possible to have and a testimony to a life well lived.

To live respected and die regretted is all that we can hope for and this was no better exemplified than in the life of Alan Saunders.

Date of Posting: 31st May 2009

On Tuesday 26th May 2009 Tyne-castle Lodge was fortunate enough to host an enactment of an authentic 1803 Apprentice Degree. This wonderful spectacle was performed expertly by the Northumberland Demonstration Team (pictured below).

Anyone who has seen this enactment before will surely agree that it is somewhat of a highlight to any Masonic evening, if not the Masonic year- either way it is an event not to be missed!

The Brethren and visitors present on the evening will no doubt wish to join us in thanking the Demonstration team for their hard work and tireless commitment, which ensured our evening was so special.

The 'special' feeling was carried on into our Festive Board which allowed us to enjoy a most memorable night of Masonic instruction and harmony.
