Welcome from the Worshipful Master
A warm welcome to Tyne-Castle Lodge in 2011. It is both an honour and a privilege for me to serve Tyne-Castle lodge as master yet again for the 2011 Masonic year. This is my second year as master, my first being in 2005. I am looking forward to this year greatly and will make every effort to maintain the fine tradition that has been established by my predecessors. My aim as master in 2012 is to ensure the continued success of the lodge, to build upon the wonderful work and strong foundations created by those who went before me and to ensure the prosperity and harmony of our lodge in the exciting year ahead - and beyond. Continuing on the tradition of the last couple of years we have several prospective members hoping to embark on their own individual journeys into Freemasonry and we hope to see these new faces become active members here at Tyne-Castle. It is an exciting time here at Tyne-Castle with many new brothers taking active roles in various offices around the Lodge and we know the vitality and enterprise of these brethren will mean our Lodge continues to thrive and grow. As ever, we welcome visiting brethren to our website as warmly as we do to our lodge meetings but of course anyone, Masonic or otherwise, can visit this site and we hope it will kindle a genuine interest in the work of Freemasons within all our website visitors. On behalf of Tyne-Castle Lodge, I also welcome you to browse through our website, and I invite you to come back often. To the wider community, and in particular, those brethren who visit us from constitutions throughout the country and the world, on behalf of myself as Worshipful Master and the brethren of Tyne-Castle lodge, please accept our heartfelt thanks for supporting and attending our lodge during the past year. My fervent wish is that you will return to Tyne-Castle in 2012. As always, all regular masons are invited to our meetings and your visits ensure a wonderful evening is enjoyed by all. We are nothing without our visitors, with this in mind I hope you will make a special effort to join us this year in our meetings and we actively encourage you to dine with us at our most convivial festive board which always provides some wonderful food thanks to our new caterer, and good company to match.. One final note, I wish to express my genuine and sincere thanks to all involved for the dignified manner in which the installation ceremony was carried out on Tuesday 24th January 2012 with a special thanks to all of our visitors, particularly those who made the journey from other provinces..
